Bill Secunda is an artist that creates massive metal sculptures for both public and private enjoyment. Each piece is designed and hand made by Secunda using a variety of materials such as thick steel plate, stainless steel, copper, bronze, and a very special common item - carpenter's nails. While creating one of his bear sculptures, he devised a technique to create amazingly realistic animal sculptures made entirely out of thousands of nails welded together. These pieces are so unique that they can be found in several Ripley's Museums around the world, the Aspen Bear, private collections, and the latest public installation of three bison sculptures at the entrance to Oklahoma Baptist University.
If you are looking for a unique custom sculpture, animal sculpture, or a western art piece you are going to want to talk to Secunda, together you can come up with something spectacular. Whether it is a beautiful nude on a steel stallion, a moose sculpture in a meadow, a giant insect sculpture such as a 20' praying mantis, an 18' fire breathing swamp monster, or a site specific piece - he would be happy to work with you.
Some of Bill's Awards Include:
